This morning another legendary rock n' roll figure, a secret hero
really, left us. Giorgio Gomelsky at 82 (28 February 1934 – 13 January 2016) , passed away this morning after
battling with cancer last few years, may he R.I.P. Initially known for
first managing The Rolling Stones, producing The Yardbirds and bringing
blues to Britain in the early 60’s, Giorgio influenced, inspired and
also helped kickstart the musical careers of so many including Eric
Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, John McLaughlin….some of the all time
greatest guitarists! And that's just on the surface of this man's
multi-layered life.
