Luka Bloom on Tour 2018 (UK, Germany)

So far this year, I've been singing in Australia, as well as a few gigs in the UK, Holland and Belgium. I am so blessed.
But there is nothing so exciting to me as a poster announcing an Irish tour. This is the first time in 6 years I am doing a tour of Ireland. It is happening because of Frugalisto, my new record. I loved recording it in Timoleag
ue, County Cork. I love the songs and can't wait to sing them in Cork, Kerry, Galway, Kildare, Waterford, Ennis......North, south, east and west.
A big thank you to Martin Nolan and MPI Bands who made this tour possible.
Am in serious training in The People's Republic of North Clare, and cannot wait to hit the road for this great adventure.

Some happy news for me. On April 27, 2018, I will begin another German tour with my friend Karsten Jahnke, who has brought me to Germany for 25 years now.
The first show is on the wonderful Kulturkirche in Koln. Love it.
The last show is in the amazing Music Hall in the lovely village of Worpswede. It is such a privilege to get to sing in Germany. All the venues are top. The promoters want to make the show special and the people really love the songs and music.

Below is a photo of the backstage bar in The Music Hall in Worpswede. After soundcheck we all sit there and eat some food and imagine the night ahead.
Worpswede is a village of poets and artists, not far from Bremen. It is home to many good and interesting characters. It will be great to see everyone in Germany in Springtime.

About:Brian Parrish grew up in the „skiffle“ era and like many of his generation , he “saw the Light“ when he heard Lonnie Donegan. What he was hearing was “roots” music from America.Brians first professional job was as lead guitarist in the band of rock n roll legend, Gene Vincent (Be Bop Alula). A great concert evening with Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Country and a lot of funny stories! 
The concert started at 9 pm and was a firework of great songs from all era´s of Andy´s career and the songs from the new album fit perfectly into the set.

Bill Wyman hat alles erreicht. Über drei Jahrzehnte war er der Bassist der größten Rockband der Welt. Nach seinem Ausstieg bei den Rolling Stones 1993 gründete er seine eigene Gruppe The Rhythm Kings, um gelegentlich seiner Leidenschaft für Blues, Jazz und Rootsrock zu frönen. Mit dieser Formation kam der 75-Jährige jetzt erstmals in die Worpsweder Music Hall.

Davon träumt vermutlich jeder Konzertveranstalter: Einmal die Rolling Stones bei sich auf der Bühne haben. Mick Jagger und Keith Richards werden auch in diesem Jahr wohl eher nicht in die Music Hall kommen, ihr langjähriger Bandkollege Bill Wyman aber sehr wohl. Außer ihm gastieren eine ganze Reihe in Worpswede bestens bekannter Formationen, aber auch einige viel versprechende Music Hall-Neulinge werden in den kommenden Monaten ihr Konzert-Debüt im Künstlerdorf geben.

Worpswede. Mit diesem Konzert geht ein Traum von Music Hall-Chefin Doris Fischer und ihrem Team in Erfüllung: Seit Jahren haben sie sich um Bill Wyman bemüht. Am morgigen Sonntag, 7. Oktober, kommt der Weltstar tatsächlich nach Worpswede, ab 20 Uhr steht er mit seiner Band auf der Bühne der Music Hall. Mit dabei ist auch Keyboarder Georgie Fame, eine weitere Musik-Legende und jahrzehntelanger kongenialer Partner von Van Morrison. Es sind noch Eintrittskarten zum Preis von 42 Euro erhältlich.

Seit 1997 ist Bill Wyman mit seiner eigenen Band The Rhythm Kings aktiv, vier Jahre zuvor hatte er nach über drei Jahrzehnten den Rolling Stones den Rücken gekehrt. 1962, kurze Zeit nach der Bandgründung, stieß er zu Mick Jagger, Keith Richards und Kollegen und prägte mit seinem Bass-Spiel deren Sound. Als Komponist spielte er dort keine wichtige Rolle, aber er veröffentlichte nach seinem Ausstieg die bislang aufwendigste Buch-Dokumentation der Bandgeschichte.
