From Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes:

Albert and Hogan’s Heroes have decided to take a break from touring together after the spring dates of 2015. Albert wishes to spend a little more time nearer home on the other side of the Atlantic and scale back his touring commitments here in Europe.

Watch this space regularly though for further Hogan’s Heroes projects, both solo and collective.

For the 2015 tour we are pleased to announce that we will be joined by Doña Oxford, who will be replacing Gavin Povey on keyboards. Gavin decided to step down at the end of our recent autumn tour in order to concentrate on various solo projects, so do look out for those. You will find a link to Gavin’s website by clicking on LINKS at the top of this page. While we will miss Gavin’s incredible skills as a player, singer and producer, we are excited at the prospect of touring with Doña.

Doña too, is a truly great keyboard player and vocalist. Check out her credits on the BAND link above or by scrolling further down.


We are also glad to announce that the band will be joined by Chris Palmer on bass guitar for the forthcoming tour. You will learn a little more about Chris by clicking on the BAND link above.

This was the last gig of the tour. It was a really great one. They began at 10:20 pm and played until 1:00 am. Wow! Powerful 2 Sets. They had to change the setlist due to technical problems. Andy and the guys played an acoustic set and after everything was fixed, Andy said: "Who needs electricity?" Dave Bronze responded immediately: "You need it!" Everbody laughed.
Then came a 20 minute brake and we could get a drink and spoke to some people we met there.
The band came back on stage and played another set filled with energy. And they changed the setlist again due to an unexpected brake in the middle of the second set. Andy said, that he has never been on stage until 1:00 am. His flight was 7:30 am and the audience said: "So there is plenty of time to entertain us" Haha!
After the gig Andy, Nick, Dave and Paul signed some autographs.
Hope to see this band again really soon.

A great concert evening with Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Country and a lot of funny stories! 
The concert started at 9 pm and was a firework of great songs from all era´s of Andy´s career and the songs from the new album fit perfectly into the set.

Ingolstadt (DK) Wenn derzeit Kollegen wie Pete Townshend und Rod Stewart ihre Memoiren in Buchform veröffentlichen, macht Allroundgitarrist Andy Fairweather-Low Ähnliches.

Nur eben in der akustischen Version. „I’ve been in music business for 45 years“, sagt er am Anfang seines Konzerts in der Neuen Welt und bringt in der Folge einen fesselnden, dynamischen, spritzigen und mit Brillanz dargebotenen Querschnitt aus „Amen Corner“-Zeiten, Stücken aus eigenen Soloalben und jeder Menge Fremdmaterial, und zwar immer unter der Vorgabe: „Es kommt nicht darauf an, wie viele Töne du spielst, sondern auf deren Reihenfolge.“

Weltklasse-Gitarrist Andy Fairweather Low und seine Lowriders begeistern 250 Gäste in Carls Showpalast Eckernförde.
Es wird laut, sehr laut. Wenn die Waliser Blues-Legende Andy Fairweather Low und seine Band die Bühne des Carls Showpalast entern, darf nicht nur die neue Anlage ausprobiert werden, sondern auch der Sound gleich ein paar Stufen höher gestellt. Es ist der zweite Auftritt des Vollblutmusikers, der an den restlichen Tagen des Jahres schon mal mit Eric Clapton die Konzerthallen dieser Welt füllt. Den Weg von der Insel nach Eckernförde nahm er im Rahmen seiner aktuellen Deutschlandtournee gern erneut auf sich.

A wonderful night of music. The gig was so great. What can I say??

Andy was wonderful. A great guitarist. He was telling stories and jokes in between the songs.

Wer bitte ist Andy Fairweather Low? Kaum jemand kennt ihn namentlich. Doch wenn man ein paar der Lieder ansummt, die er komponiert oder als Interpret seit Mitte der 60er Jahre bei seinen Konzerten gespielt hat, dann hört man respektvolles "Aah, der!", oder "Nee echt, das ist von dem?" Er war nie der absolute Superstar, aber er hat viele dieser Superstar-Kollegen erlebt und ist einigen davon bis heute Freund und musikalischer Begleiter.
