Ace Frehley & Band on Tour 2017

Ace Frehley

Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley, born April 27, 1951, is an American musician best known as the former lead guitarist and founding member of the rock band Kiss. He took on the persona of the "Spaceman" or "Space Ace", and played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982. After leaving Kiss, Frehley embarked on a solo career, which was put on hold when he rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour.
His second tenure with Kiss lasted until 2002, when he left at the conclusion of what was purported to be the band's Farewell Tour. His most recent album Space Invader, was released on August 19, 2014.

Ace Frehley is beginning the new year by looking back. The former Kiss guitarist's new LP, Origins Vol. 1 – due out April 15th – finds him covering songs by Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy and other artists that have inspired him over the years. His heavy-hitting take on Cream's "White Room" is premiering here. The LP also features his first recording with Paul Stanley, an impassioned interpretation of Free's "Fire and Water," in nearly two decades. Other guests on the record include Slash, Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, Lita Ford and Rob Zombie guitarist John 5.

Ace Frehley - Space Invader Concert Hamburg, 10th June 2015

The opening-act was not a good choice this night, too loud and as a result we could not understand the vocals from the position we were standing.
We saw Ace arriving at the venue. He had to do his M&G first, so he got on stage very late.
But as soon as he took the stage the audience went wild. The energy at this concert was totally different to the KISS-Show earlier this week.
We decided not go to the front row this time, which was a good decision as we spoke to a couple after the gig that was at the front. They were pushed against the stage as there were no barriers in front of the stage.
We had a blast! This was a pure Rock´n Roll Concert with this special guy. He let his bandmates shine too. Chris played a hell of a bass. Richie Scarlet went wild as the audience or even more when he played his solos. Ace smiled at Richie a couple of times and even shook his head in disbelieve as Richie seemed to be so into his playing.
Scot had some trouble at the beginning of "Love Gun" but held the band together and did a brilliant drum solo.
