Vorschau/Preview: Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings (ohne Bill) - live at Hermitage Rd On New Year’s Eve - 31 Dec 2011

 

Rhythm Kings formed in 1995, brought together by Bill Wyman, ex Rolling Stone. Individuals to the end, they play together as versatile & very talented musicians. Have just returned from a whistle stop sell out UK tour covering 38 venues in 8 weeks & are really looking forward to performing & entertaining on stage at hermitage rd. bar and restaurant on NEW YEARS EVE - a stage they have appeared on in their previous lives with many a high profile band. These guys are great friends & very talented musicians.

Beverley Skeete Lead vocals
a soulful voice & a reputation as a singer to be reckoned with, with a die hard following. Says Beverley 'Rhythm Kings have been a part of my life since 1997. Hand on heart, my life changed that day & a firm working relationship & friendship was born. The years have flown by & I still feel as passionate & enthusiastic about the band today.’ This
reputation for excellence has lead Beverley to work with Elton John, Sting, Chaka Khan, The Eurythmics, Annie Lennox & Tom Jones.


Terry Taylor first worked with Bill Wyman in 1967 when he joined The End, a band formed by Bill Wyman. Soon after Terry Taylor & The End moved to Spain, had a top single, appeared in the Spanish film Al Escondite Ingles, The End metamorphosed into Tucky Buzzard who went on to record 5 albums, produced by Bill Wyman on Ripple Records along with a compilation entitled Time Will Be Your Doctor.
Graham Broad Rhythm King’s Burt Lancaster! & the drummer’s drummer …
has been a professional drummer since he was 15 years old. Plays any style - rock to blues &a pop to soul. His credits include BB King, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, Van Morrison, The Drifters, Bryan Adams, Jeff Beck, George Michael, Tina Turner, The Temptations, Culture Club….WOW. Graham is closely associated with Roger Waters, Pink Floyd.


Frank Mead session musician, solo artist & founder member
has worked with international artists Eric Clapton, BB King, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Al Green & Beverley Craven. He fronts his own band performing in UK & Europe & indulges in his passion for Irish traditional music.
Nick Payn a ‘Sax’ legend
Nick has toured the world & performed with almost everyone including Cliff Richard, Ray Davies, The Kinks & Paul McCartney. Probably the most talented saxophone player out there. His relaxed style & nature is a calming influence but he is full of hilarious anecdotes about life on the road.

Geraint Watkins is an artist & entertainer of the very top drawer
a well-kept secret - an individual with an amazing style. If you have seen Nick Lowe, Van Morrison, Paul McCartney or Mark Knopfler in recent years you will have enjoyed the musicianship of keyboard/accordian player Geraint. He appears in the classic line-up for the Carl Perkins - Rockabilly Sessions alongside Eric Clapton, George Harrison & Ringo Starr.
Greg Harewood – a true legend
has worked with some of the greatest names in the music business including Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Michael Bolton & Barry White.
SUPPORTED byAndrew Balkwill – an amazing musical talent just back from a UK tour supporting Charlie Simpson - has captured the hearts of music lovers with his catchy songs & encapsulating live shows. His piano playing skills have also been headhunted & he has performed on T4, Daybreak, Radio 2, BBC Introducing, & V Festival. His single Bad Bad Luck features a video filmed in the back of a London cab. Andrew was also recently invited by Prince Charles' charity 'Start' to perform at Lancaster House alongside Jools Holland & Ruby Turner
