„Slang Funk“ is a new and exciting collaboration between British saxophonist Frank Mead and German bassist and music producer
Peter Muller.
They
have worked together for more than 15 years in the studio and on stage.
Having supported each others
solo releases, they both felt that the time was right to join forces
and present the funkiest parts of their music to live audiences. The name „Slang Funk“ perfectly describes the music, a
non-standard spin on roots funk, played with passion, fire and soul.
Frank Mead, an in demand saxophonist in the UK for many years, has worked with an impressive list of international artists ranging from Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and Gary Moore through to B.B. King, Albert Collins and many more.
