Soul Sugar: Coming to Barnes
Soul-drenched uplifting vibes are on offer when Eurythmics’ backing vocalist Beverley Skeete takes to the stage.
She will be joined by Gina Foster, who has worked with Sinead O’Connor.
Ricci P Washington is in the group too, as well as Pet Shop Boys’ Sylvia Mason, who will dazzle crowds with a funky show.
Special guest vocalist Kevin Leo completes the line up and will impress with his jazzy and soulful tones.
The group will play at the world-famous jazz room at the Bull’s Head, one of the first and most important jazz venues in Britain.
The jazz club, which opened at the same time as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and became its suburban parallel, has hosted top names such as Jeff Beck, Peter King and Tony Lee.
Expect fabulous soul treatments of iconic material, as well as off-the-wall covers from David Bowie and the Beatles to Daft Punk.
Soul Sugar; Bull’s Head, Lonsdale Road, Barnes; June 27; 8.30pm; £12 to £14; 020 8876 5241 or thebullshead.com.
