Bild Sport Award 2016 in Hamburg, 29.08.2016

Es war mal wieder soweit, der Bild Sport Award führte einige der besten deutschen Sportler nach Hamburg in die Fischauktionshalle.

Es waren ziemlich viele Fans und Reporter an der Halle, aber auch ein Aufgebot an Securities und sogar Polizei.

Jedes Jahr ist es wieder spannend, wer dort alles über den roten Teppich läuft.

Jérôme Boateng war einer der Gäste, die mit Spannung erwartet wurden. Fabian Hambüchen schrieb sich im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes die Finger wund und war super freundlich. Leider war von den anderen Teilnehmern der Olympischen Spiele in Rio nicht viel zu sehen, da der Bus mit diesen Stars leider genau auf dem Teppich vor den Fans hielt und somit fast alle gleich in die Halle liefen, ohne überhaupt uns gesehen zu haben. Fabian machte nur eine kurze Pause von seinem unermütlichen Fan-Einsatz, als er zu einem Gruppenbild von seinen Kollegen aufgefordert wurde.

Regina Halmich, Maria Höfl-Riesch, Franziska van Almsick, Marcel Reif, Lothar Matthäus, Lou Richter waren ebenfalls Gäste der Gala.

SummerJazz in Pinneberg 2016, 13.08.2016 (3. Tag)

Jedes Jahr ist es wieder ein Genuss beim SummerJazz in Pinneberg dabei zu sein. Die fantastischen Musiker, die jedes Jahr hier auftreten, machen guten Stimmung und das Publikum dankt es ihnen immer mit viel Applaus und ganz viel Herzlichkeit.

Jedes Jahr steht unter einem anderen Motto. Dieses Jahr war es, wie oben schwer erkennbar "Tribute to Lionel Hampton", was dann auch den obligatorischen Pin erklärt, den es jedes Jahr sozusagen als Eintrittskarte für dieses Fest gibt. Im ganzen Stadtkern stehen mehrere Bühnen und man kann sich aussuchen, was oder wen man sich anschauen und anhören will. Natürlich ist auch für das leibliche Wohl gesorgt.

Iron Maiden in Hamburg 2016

Iron Maiden were the headliners at Wacken on Thursday, 4th Aug 2016. After we met Mikkey Dee, we did not expect to see them here in Hamburg. First Nicko McBrian came out and rushed to the car. The others followed a little later. Janick Gers, Adrian Smith  and Dave Murray were so friendly. Thank you guys!

Mikkey Dee in Hamburg 2016

Mikkey Dee (the drummer most known for his work with Motörhead) was at Wacken this year, as all you Motörhead-Fans know.
It was a special treat for us, that we met him, as he was leaving Hamburg towards Wacken.
Later that night we saw him taking the stage together with Phil Campbell and some of the Motörhead-Crew. The moving film and speech brought tears to our eyes.

The Dead Daisies in Hamburg at the Hard Rock Café, 03rd Aug 2016

The Dead Daisies were in Hamburg at the 03^rd Aug 2016 for a promotional gig at the HRC. They were on tour in Germany and they did only 3 gigs or so and the gig at the HRC was a special acoustic one to promote their new album “Make Some Noise”.

We arrived a little late but made it to the side of the very small stage. Several fans from Berlin and other cities were there too. They have a growing fanbase here in Germany and all over Europe. We chatted a little before the gig and enjoyed ourselves. The band took the stage at 8:00 pm and began to rock.

Some of the songs were covers of all-time favorites, others were from “Revolution” and some new ones to promote the new album “Make Some Noise”.

We had a blast and sang along.

In between songs they told silly jokes and throw a lot of plectren into the crowd. I was lucky to catch one. 

We would have loved to hear more but will have to wait until the next tour of Europe in November/December.

Can´t wait to see these guys again.

John Corabi said that they will come out and sign stuff, but something went wrong and so we had to wait and see if we could stop them on their way to the bus. We were lucky to speak to Marco and Doug.
