„The Hamburg Boogie Woogie Connection 2011", das international bekannte Pianistentreffen in der „Fabrik", findet in diesem Jahr aus organisatorischen Gründen nicht am traditionellen 8.8., sondern am Freitag, den 19.8. statt. Die Hamburger Blues- und Boogie Woogie- und Klaviergranden Axel Zwingenberger und Vince Weber haben wieder internationale Größen der Szene eingeladen. Ganz besondere Freude macht die Zusage von Mike Sanchez, dem british-spanischen Sänger-Pianist-Entertainer bekannt von den "Big Town Playboys" oder "Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings". Ebenfalls erstmals mit dabei ist der Doyen der französischen Boogie Woogie-Pianisten, Jean-Paul Amouroux, der alljährlich das größte französische Boogiefestival in La Rocquebrou leitet und Silvan Zingg, der schweizer Piano-Entertainer. Ein Wiedersehen gibt es mit Big John Carter aus England, der mit seinem urwüchsigen Bluespiano die Zuhörer verzaubert. Gottfried Böttger begeistert wie immer mit seinen Interpretationen zwischen Ragtime, Blues und Gospel, und Jo Bohnsack bringt seinen kraftvollen New Orleans-Groove von der Nordseeküste mit. Das SummerJazz Festival findet mitten in der Fußgängerzone der Innenstadt von Pinneberg statt.

The summer jazz Pinneberg is one of Germany's largest open-air jazz festival held annually at four days in August. At present six open-air stages on the one hand young artists appear as part of a comprehensive music contests, and other international top acts.
The summer jazz festival takes place in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the city of Pinneberg.
